Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (14 of 20)
Publication Date: June 24, 2010
Chapter: English Literature During The Middle Ages
In the interest of full disclosure, there was a scene in this story that I could've illustrated but chose not to: Gawain kisses his manly host before they share wine by the fireside. No, seriously. I mean, I guess I could've drawn that, but I couldn't really find a joke for it. Two dudes making out is rad, but it wasn't lending itself to four panel funnies.
Instead, I went with the epic boar hunt that follows Sexy Time with Sir Gawain. Now, I can't really think of boar hunting without thinking of "Lost" anymore, so you end up with today's comic. It's literally the first thing that popped into my head when I read this passage of the story. Clearly pop culture had destroyed my brain.
