Being friends with Jaques is probably a lot like being friends with Morrissey in the 90s. Sure, he’s a gifted musician, but you have to deal with endlessly depressing lyrics. I imagine one needs to weigh the pros and cons of that friendship pretty seriously. Anyway, Duke Senior is feasting, as he’s wont to do, and Jaques is providing the entertainment, as he’s also wont to do (though whether you’d classify Jaques’s music as “entertainment” is pretty subjective). Orlando kicks in the... well, I guess there aren’t any doors in the forest... but Orlando crashes the party. His motivation? Orlando is really, really hungry.
