The Emerald City of Oz
Publication Date: March 26, 2013
Chapter: The Wonderful Comics of Oz
So, the sixth book in the series, which Baum dearly hoped would be his last but HA HA no, features a massive army of evil-doers intent on conquering Oz and murdering everyone in it. Despite this, Ozma doesn't seem particularly concerned. Instead of plotting the defense of her people, she decides instead of organize road trips and grand banquets. Granted, if I had a game-breaking, all-powerful magic belt, I probably wouldn't worry that much either.
Still, let this strip serve as my tribute to "Ozma Fail," so lovingly detailed during Mari Ness's "Oz Re-Read" over at Tor.
