The Princess Bride

Publication Date: December 9, 2011

Chapter: Random Literature

Hey, it's an increasingly rare "donation" strip! Yay! Comics I get paid for are the best comics.

It goes without saying that "The Princess Bride" is brilliant. Goldman (who wrote both the original novel and the film's screenplay and was also responsible for "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid") is one of Hollywood's all-time great screenwriters. That said, writing comedy about a comedy is exceedingly difficult. I'm not sure I was entirely successful, but it was fun to draw, so I don't really care.

Author: William Goldman • Year: 1973 (Novel), 1987 (Film) • Info: Wikipedia
