Chapter: English Literature in the Sixteenth Century
I'm fairly certain that when Marlowe wrote this play, scientists weren't capable of measuring the movement of the poles yet, so I guess Faustus' poetic-sounding proclamations don't really need nitpicking. Not that that's ever stopped me before.
