Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (9 of 20)

Publication Date: June 17, 2010

Chapter: English Literature During The Middle Ages

That's right, it's a Christmas miracle. Gawain has been riding around the English countryside for almost two months. I mean, come on, dude - how hard can it be to find a bright green chapel? Then again, Gawain has a tendency towards overlooking the obvious. While wandering through the forest on Christmas Eve and praying for guidance, he somehow neglected to see the huge-ass castle nearby until after spending far too much time on prayer. Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees.
