Sidney was writing this sonnet (number thirty-seven, quoted in its entirety), to a woman named Penelope Devereux Rich. Which is to say, yes, almost every damn line in this poem is a terrible, terrible pun.
Also, appro of nothing, but Cadbury Creme Eggs suck out loud. Just throwing that out there.
