Beowulf (3 of 6)

Publication Date: April 12, 2010

Chapter: English Literature During The Middle Ages

This could be one of those things that only makes me laugh, but screw it; every time dialogue is prefaced by "Beowulf, Son of Ecgtheow, Said," I crack up. It really doesn't make any sense, but that phrase - or a variation thereof - is used so frequently in the story that it's almost like a running gag. You think it made Seamus Heaney laugh too? I suspect not.

About The Comic

Lit Brick is a comic started by Jodie Troutman in an effort to read the entire Norton Anthology of English Literature. Having eventually succeeded in that goal, it now features comics about all manner of random literature. And yeah, they're all pretty dumb.
