The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock (1)

Publication Date: July 27, 2016

Chapter: The Twentieth Century

You want it all but you can't have it. It's in your reach but you can't grab it.

So, this poem (and Eliot himself, of course) is kind of a big deal. It's real famous, but that's because it's real good. It's a love song about being alone and sexually frustrated, so it tends to resonate among... everyone. We'll be spending at least a couple more strips with it, I imagine.

Author: T.S. Eliot • Year: 1915 • Info: Kalliope
