You've probably heard of Mara Jade. She was the Emperor's Hand, his own personal spy, and one of the first notable characters to use the Force but NOT identify as a Jedi or Sith. After ROTJ, she became a smuggler, but still had the Emperor's voice in her head, compelling her to murder Luke. Sheev was kind of a dick, y'all.

Eventually, Mara got over it and married Luke, had a kid, then got fridged so Luke could be sad about it. God, the EU really went off the rails there after a while. Anyway, Mara Jade, in her original incarnation, was pretty great. She was a badass tweener with a sneer and a lightsaber, and I hope that this version of her comes back in some form in the new canon. In the meantime, I guess I'll just keep drawing dumb comics about her.
