To An Athlete Dying Young
Publication Date: May 18, 2016
Chapter: The Twentieth Century
This poem is a tribute to an athlete who died young (obviously), a marathon runner by all appearances. He used to run through town, but his final race was being carried in a casket. You'd be forgiven for thinking we were reading Hardy again.
