Duke Senior, despite being exiled from his court, seems to really enjoy roughing it. He’s always smiling and throwing parties and extolling the virtues of the forest. The dude just loves to camp. Jaques does not love to camp. Jaques doesn’t appear to love anything, honestly. He’s that dude you’re friends with that constantly infuses your life with pessimism yet you still hang out with him for some reason. In Jaques’s defense, I’ve been that dude before.
