Ah, here's an old high school standby. I believe this short story ended up in most 10th Grade textbooks in the U.S., and for good reason. It's a stone cold classic that everyone needs to read at least once. I suspect it was the first Vonnegut for many, many young people.
That's right, I don't have anything snarky to say about this story. It's just that good.
