The Beggar's Opera, Part 3
Publication Date: March 26, 2012
Chapter: English Literature During The Restoration And The Eighteenth Century
It probably goes without saying, but the Beggar's Opera does, in fact, have a lot of singing in it. This doesn't necessarily translate well into comics. Honestly, it doesn't really translate well into literature either. Both are for the same reason: we simply have no frame of reference for the music. As such, these strips are without lyrics. Which isn't to say that I may not try some before this is all over, but for now, I'm just avoiding the songs altogether.
