The Second Shepherds' Play (1 of 5)
Publication Date: September 6, 2010
Chapter: English Literature During The Middle Ages
Another boring mystery play. Woo. The primary story of this play ends with the villain, Mak, being "tossed on a blanket." This confused me upon first reading it, so I consulted a few online sources and - as far as I can tell - no one actually knows what this is supposed to mean. Oh, there's debate about some possible theories, but there's nothing concrete. All that's been established is that a blanket and the action of tossing is involved.
You see, people? This is what I have to put up with to entertain you.
