Hero and Leander (4 of 15)
Publication Date: February 3, 2011
Chapter: English Literature in the Sixteenth Century
This poem starts becoming a lot of fun once the gods themselves actually show up. Cupid, it turns out, has taken a vested interest in getting Leander and Hero to bang. He tries repeatedly to plug Hero with his arrows, but none of the magic seems to take. She's just too darn determined to not fall in love. That, or Cupid's arrows are defective. Maybe somebody should ask Jeremy Piven to help.
