Chapter: American Literature to 1700

Remember when Kevin Bacon showed up in a conservative town and tried to teach everyone how to dance again. Same thing with Thomas Morton, only instead of having a big party at the end of the story, he got arrested by Myles Standish and marooned on an island. Alright, perhaps it's not the same thing at all. But while marooned on the island, all of Morton's native American friends paddled over and provided our stranded hero with enough booze to get by until a boat could take him back to England. So, y'know, I guess being nice to the natives paid off.
