Chapter: English Literature During The Restoration And The Eighteenth Century
Daniel Defoe was rather notorious for his flip-flopping. When the party he was serving would lose, he'd almost instantly side with the victor. Everyone was apparently okay with this, as apparently Defoe was a pretty likable guy, despite being kind of a douchebag.
Also, I'm just going to assume that this comic accurately depicts British politics, even to this day.
