Chapter: English Literature During The Middle Ages

See, I told you she was crazy. Rather than spend her life with Conchobor and his friend Whathisface, Deirdre stuck her head out the proverbial car window just as a giant rock appeared beside the chariot. All in all, it was a pretty gruesome way to go. So sayeth the text:

"A big block of stone was in front of her. She let her head be driven against the stone, and made a mass of fragments of it, and she was dead."

I mean, ew. Of course, the real question is - did she make a mass of fragments of the boulder or of her head? I assumed, in the battle between boulder and skull, that boulder would win. As such, in my mind, Deirdre's head pretty much exploded into a shower of blood. Then again, I'm always looking for an excuse to draw a comical shower of blood.

About The Comic

Lit Brick is a comic started by Jodie Troutman in an effort to read the entire Norton Anthology of English Literature. Having eventually succeeded in that goal, it now features comics about all manner of random literature. And yeah, they're all pretty dumb.
