The Black Cat

If you’re surprised that this is what I think of when you say “the Black Cat,” then you really don’t know me at all.

There are still eight commissions waiting in the hopper.  Can’t believe I’m finally almost done.  I’ll be taking next week off, however, to throw my focus – briefly – on Sporkman, as I need to do a few strips as a tie-in to the current MESS storyline.  After that, I’ll knock out the rest of the commissions over the course of August.  After that, Lit Brick will take an indefinitely long break, as previously announced.  It’s not an ending, however.  As I’ve noted in the past, I’ll actually be working on an epic series of Lit Brick strips offline, based upon Gilgamesh.  I intend to print it as a standalone book, with a digital version for you fine website readin’ folks.  I’ll keep you posted on news about that as I progress.

So does this mean that Spidey’s already killed and replaced Felicia?

Ah, yes. Felicia Hardy did have that bad luck-power, which affected anyone who directly attacked her, didn’t she?

…this is one of those things that I should be ashamed not to get, isn’t it?

    I’ll hit up google tomorrow.

Basically: The Black Cat is a story about a guy drinking himself mad, deciding his cat is out to get him, and killing his wife to get at it.

Black Cat is a Spider-Man villain/ally (essentially, a blatant Catwoman ripoff in just about every way).

Basically, from there on out, it’s just a substitution cipher.

What did we ever do to you to deserve a One More Day reference?

Is it really a hijacking if he says yes?
