The Claus of Baum’s universe isn’t served merely by short guys with funny hats, but by a legion of immortal creatures from the nearby forest of Burzee. During his Christmas Eve flight, he’s accompanied by four of his top helpers: Nuter the Ryl, Peter the Knook, Kilter the Pixie, and a small fairy named Wis. After St. Nick vanishes, they decide to drop all the presents off before trying to save their boss and actually manage to pull it off shortly after sunrise.
There are, however, some complications, as noted in the strip.
