Lit Brick is a comic about literature, which should probably be fairly obvious.  It originated as part of an effort to read the entire Norton Anthology of English Literature, which your humble author still had lying around the house after earning his BA in English.  The comic updates daily, from Monday through Friday, except on the days when it doesn’t.

Though the series is random by its very nature, there are a number of regular characters that pop up on occasion.  These include Molly, a spunky young English major, and several of her friends, including Sam (boring), Deirdre (insane), and Nicholle (annoying).  Death himself and She-Jesus (the Cheesecake Deity) also put in frequent appearances.

Most of the comic’s material is drawn from the aforementioned Norton Anthology of English Literature, but strips have also been based on material from other anthologies, as well as on completely random material suggested by readers.

Much of the “reader requested” material was drawn in response to PayPal donations.  Anyone donating over ten dollars to the strip were free to request a comic about any literary topic they liked.  That offer still stands, and if you’d like to donate to the comic and request a particular strip, just click the “Donate” button in the left sidebar.
