Most people that haven’t read the book probably just assume that all of Gulliver’s adventures take place on the same fateful voyage. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In point of fact, Gulliver becomes a castaway from no less than four different ships. Seriously, at what point do you decide that sailing just isn’t [...]

I got tired of drawing Nicholle’s jacket. In case you were wondering. I suspect you weren’t. Author: Jonathan Swift / Date of Publication: 1726, Amended 1735 / Source: Wikipedia
BACKGROUNDS ARE FOR THE WEAK. Author: Jonathan Swift / Date of Publication: 1726, Amended 1735 / Source: Wikipedia
In the book, Gulliver actually goes to several different places and meets several different groups of people over the course of Part 3. It’s a strange and eclectic journey, the purpose of which only seems to be for Swift to point out how much he hates pretty much everyone ever. I’ve cut all the travel [...]
Both experiments are pulled more-or-less straight from the book. Swift wasn’t really a huge fan of the scientific community. Author: Jonathan Swift / Date of Publication: 1726, Amended 1735 / Source: Wikipedia
The island of Laputa sails through the clouds, repelled from the Earth by a giant magnet, which is pretty rad. When Gulliver arrives, he’s taken to see the King. They sit in silence for over an hour as the King apparently doesn’t even notice that Gulliver has arrived. He is, instead, occupied by the many [...]
If you know the book, then you know I just skipped a huge chunk of it. Way more stuff happens on Giant Island than on Lilliput, and I never really planned on drawing all of it. So onward, to SCIENCE! Island! Author: Jonathan Swift / Date of Publication: 1726, Amended 1735 / Source: Wikipedia
For some reason, this part of the book reminds me of Hammond’s flea circus in Jurassic Park. Don’t ask me why. Author: Jonathan Swift / Date of Publication: 1726, Amended 1735 / Source: Wikipedia
Because I insist on pointing out all of my own flaws, you can see the part in Nicholle’s hair switch sides between panels. The thrice-duplicated panel needed to be flipped so that the word balloons would be in the right order. You’d think I would’ve noticed something like that before inking. Author: Jonathan Swift / [...]
I inked this one on paper. You can probably tell if you’re paying enough attention. Anyway, Gulliver – being the wildly irresponsible father and terrible husband that he is – instantly hops onto another boat and sails off for another year-long excursion, simply because he has a lust for adventure. Jerk. Eventually his boat finds [...]
